0 Zynga to shut down 11 titles according to cost cutting plan

Zynga, Facebook game and vacuous money-trap maker is running to cut costs to save its fast falling share price. Almost 11 titles are being shut down that includes PetVille, Mafia Wars 2, Vampire wars and many more just Farmville remains safe.

Zynga is sure to be received with just a small amount of schadenfreude and reserve a though for all those who are genuinely affected. The PetVille Facebook post introduce its closure which has been flooded with an outpouring of despair from players. It will be easy to dismiss Zynga's actions but core gaming publishers will not step up to shut down servers as games will stop being profitable.

The problem arises here with PetVille which is supported by micro transactions and some users who will have inevitably spent significant amounts of money in the game. The publishers will increasingly experiment with free-to-play options which could increasingly rear its head. Zynga has aid off its over hundred employees last year and there is also a news that social giant is shutting down its Zynga Japan studio. Zyngashuts down PetVille, but the closures were occurred as some PetVille players reported that they can still access the game.

Zynga will still have 30 game title available over Facebook, Zynga.com, iOS, MySpace, Android and other several social sites. Zynga offers players with rewards and bonus packages to these players in other games.
